Velvet Kittens Guest Performance

The Velvet Kittens of Le Cabaret Burlesque dancers will be making a guest appearance on Sunday, June 26th at the House of Funk Theatre Company’s showcase. The event takes place at Carrollton Plaza Arts Center, 1115 Fourth Avenue, Carrollton TX 75006. For information about the event and ticket sales, visit the House of Funk website here.

For the month of June we are offering two special Burlesque Body Sculpt™ workshops! The rest of June schedule is filled with a variety of 30-minute “teaser†classes. This is perfect opportunity for new students to take a dip into our dance pool and a try out little bit of everything!
Our June teaser classes include: Burlesque Body Sculpt™ Intro, Flirty Girl®, Hoopnotica®, Coyote U, Hip Hop Hotties, Tribal Belly Dance, Yoga, Rockstar Warm-Up, and introductary classes to some of the more traditional forms of dance including ballet, jazz, tap and modern.
Bombshell’s Burlesque Body Sculpt™ Workshops
Wednesday nights (June 15, 22, & 29, 6:45 – 8:00 pm) is the popular and playful “If Loving You is Wrong†workshop, incorporating hats, canes, and chairs.Â
Saturday afternoons (June 18 & 25, 12:30 – 2:30 pm), we are offering a new workshop to “But I am a Good Girl†from the Burlesque movie soundtrack.

The Bombshell Dance Studio is located at 1545 N. Main St, Fort Worth, TX 76164, down the street from the Stockyards and minutes from downtown/Sundance Square. The studio dance flooring is a sprung floor with marley on top to provide a safe and professional dancing experience.

Grand Opening Celebration!

The Bombshell Dance Studio will be hosting our grand opening party on Saturday, June 11, 2011. We will be raffling off BDS punch cards, workshops, Girl’s Night Out parties, and personalized choreography for solo, duet or trio by independent choreographer/BDS artistic director and creator the Velvet Kittens of LCB and the Burlesque Body Sculpt ™ phenomenon, Jana Edele. Performing at the BDS grand opening will be both Dallas and Fort Worth Burlesque Body Sculpt ™ students and the Velvet Kittens of Le Cabaret Burlesque. Doors open at 6:00 pm for mingling, drinks, and appetizers.

June Burlesque Body Sculpt â„¢ Dallas Workshops

For the month of June our Dallas workshops are focusing on working with the dance prop the fedora! We are also offering two different workshops, one for beginner students, and the second for intermediate/advanced. The Dallas classes are held at the Verandah Club (2201 Stemmons Freeway, Dallas TX 75207). Read below for more information about our classes:

Monday Nights:Â June 13, 20 and 27
(3 – week series; 75 – minute classes)Â
“Fedora Fever†– 6:45 pm
This is a beginner/intermediate level class. All students are welcome. This is the original Fedora Fever choreography class that was offered last summer.
“Fedora Fab†– 8:00 pm
This is the new version of Fedora Fever for intermediate/advanced students. It’s recommended that students be at an intermediate level, having taken at least 3 workshops before taking this class or get approval from BBS creator and instructor Jana.
1 workshop series:
$35.00 for Verandah members
$50.00 for non-members who register/pay by June 9
$65.00 for non-members after pre-registration (June 9)
Both classes (for intermediate/advanced students only):Â $85.00
(All prices are plus tax)

Special Two Hour BBS Workshop in May

We will be offering a special 2-hour Burlesque Body Sculpt â„¢ workshop on Saturday, May 28 at the Verandah Club (2201 N. Stemmons Freeway, Dallas, Texas 75207) for students who have not learned a dance yet but who are interested in either simply learning a dance quickly or learning a dance to actually perform on June 11 at the Ft. Worth show. It will be $25 per person, from 5-7pm and is called “The Stripper” and the prop will be a boa.

BBS May Schedule

For the month of May, we will be offering a BBS workshop on Monday nights (May 2, 9, 16, 23), 7:00-8:00 pm, at the Verandah Club in Dallas. Students will be learning a dance from the Velvet Kittens repertoire. This dance incorporates hats, canes, and chairs, and is set the song “If Loving You is Wrong.â€Â Class size is limited, and students must rsvp in advance with Cara Young at 214-761-7895 or [email protected]. There are no refunds or credits forward to other classes. All classes must be attended on dates listed for each class/session.
Tuition:Â $45 if rsvp inadvance. ($60.00 past early registration deadline of April 29)
