First Annual Dallas Dance-Off
The Contestants: Dancers, including six of the most recent “Youth America Grand Prix” semi-finalists, compete for prizes. Dancers from Southern Methodist University, Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing and Visual Arts and other major dance schools compete in a variety of styles. They will be joined by seven professional dancers.
The Judges: Charles Santos (TITAS Exec Director)
Kim Abel (National-level teacher, former Eglevsky Ballet)
Evgeny Lushkin (American Ballet Theatre, Moscow State Ballet)
The Pros: Seven professional dancers dancing everything from tango to ballet. These amazing dancers, all former New Yorkers now living in Dallas have collectively danced for a dozen top companies including Broadway, New York City Ballet, American Ballet Theatre, Twyla Tharp and more!
